The development of conflict in the Middle East has always been in the global spotlight, especially with tensions continuing to fluctuate between countries, armed groups and international interests. In recent months, significant events have taken place in several regions, including Gaza, Syria and Iran. In Gaza, the conflict between Hamas and Israel has heated up again, after a series of missile attacks and air strikes which resulted in many casualties and damage to infrastructure. Israel claims the action is a response to threats from Hamas, while humanitarian organizations warn of a worsening humanitarian crisis. This situation attracted the attention of many countries and international organizations, who called for de-escalation and dialogue to achieve peace. Simultaneously, in Syria, fighting continues despite international efforts to speed up the peace process. Opposition fighters are in conflict with government forces, and the presence of extremist groups such as ISIS remains a significant threat. The UN continues to try to facilitate peace negotiations, but political obstacles between local and international actors make this process slow. Iran, as another key player in the Middle East, remains involved in various conflicts through support for militias operating in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. Most recently, Iran faced additional sanctions from the US which had an impact on the country’s economy. These actions exacerbate tensions that have existed since the nuclear agreement was abandoned several years ago. On the other hand, the normalization of relations between several Arab countries and Israel witnessed interesting developments. The Abrahams Agreement has led several countries, such as the UAE and Bahrain, to establish diplomatic ties with Israel. However, this also sparked a strong reaction from Palestinians, who felt abandoned by Arab countries in their search for justice. The role of social media in spreading information and activism cannot be ignored. Activists and internet users around the world have used the platform to raise awareness of issues in the Middle East, support pro-Palestinian movements, and encourage action from world leaders. The continuation of this conflict is influenced by complex geopolitical interests, including major powers such as Russia and the US, each of which has an agenda in the region. Russia continues to strengthen its position in Syria, while the US still maintains its military presence despite facing domestic criticism. One important aspect that needs to be considered is humanitarian issues. Many civilians in conflict areas have become victims and need urgent assistance. International organizations are struggling to provide aid, but access is often hampered by fighting and blockades imposed by various parties. In the coming weeks, the influence of these factors will likely continue to shape conflict dynamics in the Middle East. Every new development will certainly attract world attention, a precise futurology about the direction of this conflict is a challenge for political experts, academics and human rights organizations, especially when the world tries to find a long-term solution towards stability and peace in this region.
